This card is for a challenge I entered at Arty Girlz (link can be found on right hand side of screen).Only the second challenge I have entered! The challenge was that it had to be Blue.
I am really enjoying clear embossing so I used this technique on the background with these lovely sassafra lass owl stamps. I used MM for the circles and scallop circle, then I ran the scallop circle through my cuttlebug using the swiss dots embossing folder.
I just love this cake from doodlecharms cart (obviously with candle cut off), with another of my loves the scallop circle from MM.
For the pink background paper I used one of my new stamps from Papermania a little cupcake, then I used clear embossing powder. I really like this technique so I think you will see a lot more of it from me!
The glitter for icing on the cupcake is doodlebug sugar coatings
This is just a little notelet really as it is only 4"x4". I want to make a set but need something to make envelopes for them any ideas for that please leave me a comment.

P.S you may notice that this card is different from the one posted on MB, I realised i needed to add another colour for a colour challenge I'm entering.
This is one of my latest cards, a friend of mine has just had a little baby girl.
The scallop circle is from MM, the baby feet is NA.
I ran the scallop circle through cuttlebug with swiss dots, the feet is cut out of glitter card stock.
The background paper is DCWV, and of course I used my threading water punch along the bottom.
The ribbon is American crafts, I can't believe that i can actually get American craft stuff from Hobbycraft in the UK now, I love all there stuff!
The colours for this card are not the normal colours you would use for a baby card, but I think it really works! (you can't see very well in the picture but the card is dark brown).
As the card is dark bown I had to make inserts inside so it could be written on, to finish it off I used this lovely little stamp from papermania!
I had a play around here with a trifold card, to make a pocket on the front that could have a small gift in it i.e. money etc, I eventually made a tiny note pad with my BIA to fit in the pocket.
The flower is from WIMG cut twice I then ran the white one through my cuttlebug swiss dots and chalked the edges.
Another of these boxes in a bag (now I know how to make them I just love them!)
I stamped the paper with my favourite sassafras lass owl stamp (Olivia and friends), to get it evenly spaced I used re positionable glue and glued the paper on to my cutting matt so i could line up my ruler. I am really pleased with the way it turned out.
Instead of cutting a tab with fabulous finds i just used my big bite to set some eyelets and feed the ribbon through. Threading water punch for the boarder around the bottom.
These are brilliant as gift bags and if you have the correct size paper you make them as big or as small as you want them.
I got the idea for this from Dannie's blog, there is a tutorial on Paula Goff blog (inking addict).
I changed it a little as I wanted it to be a little smaller.
You start of by making a small box (no lid), then you wrap your colour or designer paper around the box. I added cut flowers and buttons to the front, and of course I used my much loved threading water punch for the piece around the base. Finally i added contrasting ribbon to the top to close
The tabs at the top are from fabulous finds, the flowers are from george.
My cupcake waterfall card was highlighted in the latest addition of the cricut chrip!!!! I am so excited i have only be posting projects on the MB for a week or so! Just thought i would share!
As promised i made this ribbon storage box with my crop-a-dile! It was a little difficult to get used to at the start as it is different from the original crop-a-dile! But i got used to it and the reach is fantastic!
The box is actually a gift box from a card shop!
I made a template out a piece of paper to cut the holes out of the box at regular intervals.
I cut a scalloped squares out with mini monograms and ran it through my cuttlebug with swiss dots folder, i then stuck these on the front of the box.
The eyelets came with the accessory kit that was also on offer on QVC last week i had to get that too it would have been rude not to!!!
Glad i did now as it is wait list only! also gives me a place to store the big bite:)
Yes it's my crop-a-dile 2 big bite! (isn't it gorgeous in pink!?) I only ordered it on Wednesday! Didn't think it was gonna come this week then at 11:30am there was a knock at the door!
My first project with this is going to be a ribbon storage box.
I have a old CD box which should be perfect look out for that coming soon :)
Haven't made anything new today! I am rearranging my craft area, found a great little storage unit at the Pier in the sale which is gonna help with all my gadgets! MUST STOP BUYING GADGETS MUST STOP BUYING GADGETS MUST STOP BUYING GADGETS MUST STOP BUY................................ Oh it'll never work! :)
So i had a really bad night sleep wise last night (was still awake at 3am!)
But there was an upside to this, i was awake when QVC annouced their TSV, which was a pink crop-a-dile big bite with a load of other bits!
I almost got one at the weekend, glad i didn't the one i was going to get didn't come with any gromits or eyelets it wasn't pink and it was £35!!!! Well the offer on QVC was only £23.
